The present statistics for divorce in the United States is 50/50, which means one out of every two marriages end in divorce. We begin to wonder why people even bother to get married in the first place.
This play is not about divorce, but about marriage. There is the third generation grandmother who had a 50+ year successful marriage. Her two eldest daughters have been married for over 10 years, and her last daughter is getting married on this specific weekend.
Coming together may not have been such a good idea as the married couple brings along some baggage that may cause the unmarried to think twice before making this life-changing decision.
