HCP Ministries is committed to encouraging and creating new Christian Dramatic Literature that is characterized by a distinctly Christian worldview.

One of our main goals is to provide more contemporary quality plays that are designed to reach believers and non-believers for the cause of Christ. Therefore we are seeking plays that have strong biblical themes and conservative Christian values. Submissions don't have to be sermonic or religious but should reflect a Christian worldview.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS DECEMBER 31, 2008

Winners will be notified on or before March of 2009. The winning play will be published on our website and the winning playwright (s) will receive a cash prize.

TWO CATEGORIES IN 2007

• One Act Plays (20-45 minutes). The winner receives a cash prize of $250.00 and a chance to have the play published online.

• Long Play (45-90 minutes). The winner receives a cash prize of $500.00 and a chance to have the play published online.

CONTEST RULES

• Submissions must be original, unpublished plays. Legal clearance of materials not in the public domain is the full responsibility of the playwright.

• Submissions should be emailed after entry fee has been paid to competition@christianplaywright.org . We require a cover page to include Title of play, Name of playwright, address, phone number and email address.

• Plays MUST be typed/word-processed, and pages numbered. Use standard play format.

• You can submit as many plays as you wish but an entrance fee will have to be paid for each.
