This
isn't actually a review but a message to let the author know that I recently saw
the production of, THE MARK produced by, NEW BRANCH THEATRE CO. and it was so
inspirational! A great deal of biblical truth, and encouragement, came through
while the characters were very realistic and grounded in strong dialogue. The
combination of drama and comedy kept me completely involved. NEW BRANCH did an
exceptional job bringing this piece to life and the music gave the piece added
dimensions and contributed to the rhythmic flow. I guess this is kind a review
of sorts but just wanted, mainly, to say thank-you to you, Cleveland , for
writing it..!

... Overall the production was good.
The mood that was created by the cast was one of camaraderie. The
average age of the cast was probably 30 for the major parts. Of
course, Mom and Big E were older. They got along well, but
definitely had opinions about absenteeism and not knowing lines.
Most of the
reviews we heard from those that attended, including the Senior
Pastor, was that it was an excellent and powerful production.

Thank you for all you do for the work of the Lord. We
purchased "The Christmas Story" kid's play and presented it on December 23. The
children enjoyed doing the play and the audience seemed to have enjoyed seeing
it.

Bethel AME Church from
Freehold, NJ's Junior Sunday School children produced the play - The
Christmas Story - . They were so happy about doing it that we are
starting a theater ministry. We'll be putting on Christians Plays..
We will need your help. There are so many wonderful stories in the
Bible that I will be ordering your catalog. I thank God for your
talent and I thank you for your willingness to share.

All the children were great and the play was simple enough
for even our pre-schoolers to participate. Our entire catechism classes from
pre-K to 12th grade were involved in the program. The Christmas Story along
with a little modern humour was very refreshing.

I recently purchased the play "The Trial of Mary - Mother
of Jesus," I must say that this was and excellent play. The youth department of
my church casted in the entire play and it was wonderful. All of the members of
my church loved it. Thank you so much for sharing your talents and God bless
you.

My church performed the
play "This Body of Death". We had a great time performing this play. We also had
new volunteers from my church join the drama ministry and enjoyed themselves
greatly and would see themselves in future plays. I'm looking forward to
checking out some more scripts for Easter.

We also purchased "The Potter's House" and performed it
this past August for a church Youth Day where our theme was "U.S.E.D
(Uncompromising Servants Exemplifying Divinity). God worked through us and with
your script to touch the hearts of those in the production as well as the
audience. Your pen is truly anointed and touched by God. Keep up the good work
of letting God use you and Fellowship Youth and Young Adult Ministries will
definitely purchase from you again.

Our congregation was thoroughly blessed by the drama, "The
Potter's House." We had to make a few character gender changes due to limited
men to play parts but the message was not affected. The drama impacted several
people who had come from "old school" type fellowships that found it difficult
to adjust to a open and loving church family. Those shackles were loosed and the
truth about The Kingdom and God's grace to save to the utmost rang clear during
the presentation. Thanks for sharing your gift with the Body of Christ.

We did a play of yours for Easter "Have you Seen Jesus?".
We are a small church here in Springfield,OH so we did not do much in the way of
a set. We made a bolder to roll away at the beginning of the play as the
scripture was read from where your play takes place and then we had a rock
background that we used for most of the scene with a few little changes here and
there but overall it went over very well. All the members of the church who
came out truly enjoyed the play and the actors enjoyed it as well. Some of the
scenes they were really able to get into and make really funny but still get the
point across of Jesus being the way. Thank for writing so eloquently and I look
forward to using you again for the next play we do. Which I probably should be
thinking about now because I believe they would like to do another play for
Christmas. God bless you and I pray that your ministry continues to grow.
Please continue to "write the vision".

I just wanted to respond to you about the Easter play I
ordered called "The Room". I presented the play the Saturday before Easter at my
church Bethel AME Zion Church. It was absolutely wonderful!!!! There wasn't a
dry eye in the room. It was so powerful that my pastor has asked us to do it
again on April 20th during the regular morning service at 11:00. I think this
has been the most powerful play I have done since I became director of the drama
dept. I can honestly say that I will be using your plays from here on out. So
keep on blessing us with your plays. God bless and I will be in touch for my
Christmas play soon and maybe a dinner theatre production.

We have not used the play The Last Christmas yet, but I
have read over it and also went over it with a few people and they seem to be
very pleased with it and cant wait to get started on practicing and ready for
our Christmas play. It sent chills up my spine at the ending (I honestly waited
till the end to read it, didn't get a sneak of it). I will be looking at other
plays from your site as well. Thank you for your work in Christ.

We just wrapped up a five week Lent series in which we
segmented out the "Vibes" play. We had to make some adaptations within the
script so that it reflected our very rural farming community. Staging was
simple, we used only two sets: a living room and a church.
After possible actors read the adapted script, none of them could say no to
being in the play! We just knew it was a strong piece meant for this Lent
season. This play addressed a lot of serious issues within many churches,
passive uninvolved members, lack of respect for the church, compromising God's
word in order to keep members happy, and it reminded us what trusting God really
means both in our church and within our daily lives. Vibes was very well
received by our congregations; each week the crowd kept building to see what was
happening!
Each week we included a brief PowerPoint review of the previous week's events in
order to keep everyone up to speed. This was particularly effective as there
were new people watching each week. We also worked our own music, e.g. "He
will carry me", "The voice of truth", "For those tears I died", and "The Lord's
Prayer" into the closing scenes each week.
Thanks for writing "Vibes".
