~~~ KATRINA ~~~

This play was written to honour the victims of Hurricane Katrina, especially those who were forced to flee their homes in New Orleans. Katrina is not just the name of the hurricane that devastatingly swept through the U.S. Golf Coast…it is also the name of a person who has had her share of hurt in the past. Katrina Robinson lost her family, her home and almost her sanity to a society that continues to harbour the concept of racism below the surface of truth and honestly. She is forced to live in a building that has laid in ruin for many years, but when the water starts to rise in the ‘pond city’, this ruin will serve as a shelter and home for seven additional characters i.e. A husband and his wife, A Social Worker and her soft-hearted sister, Two Ghetto youths (who adds humour to this play through their looting habits) and one Young Christian woman who has survived a lifetime of pain. These characters will learn that no matter how hard and unbearable life gets…God is able to sustain and keep us and in doing so, He remoulds us into better vessels. Price: $25.00

~~~ THE ROOM ~~~

Have you ever wondered what it will be like to stand before God on Judgment Day? Do you ever wonder what emotions you’ll experience, what thoughts you will have, how much of your earthly life you will actually remember. For Christians, I imagine this to be a beautiful experience, but what about non-Christians or those who have become Luke-warm and live a selfish life that contradicts the teachings of our Lord Jesus. This play begins with Joe waking up in an empty Room with a Bible on a Small table to his Right and a Filing Cabinet with a record of all his unforgiven sins to his Left, but he has no idea how he got there…then, God speaks…Joe’s life becomes a puzzle that has been scrambled and needs to be completed. Yet, Joe starts out feeling confident that he has done enough good in his life to merit eternal life…until God starts to question his reasons, his priorities, his deeds…suddenly the light appears dim at the end of Joe’s tunnel and he starts to beg for mercy…in the end, Joe learns, as we all will one day, that before we enter the Room…we have already made our eternal choice. ~~~ THE TRIAL ~~~

Christian is standing Trial in the Court of Eternity. The Prosecutor seeks to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that Christian has turned away beyond the point of redemption and that man should be destroyed once and for all.

God Himself stands as Judge in this Trial and it soon becomes clear that the only thing that stands between man and eternal death is the Defence Attorney, Jesus Christ. Price: $35.00

~~~ THE ROSE ~~~

Society has labelled a certain kind of love 'taboo.' One such is for a Christian to fall in love with a harlot. Jesus met some fiery accusations because he associated with Mary, who was a prostitute before she came in contact with Him…but Jesus knew what it meant to love unconditionally. Now how many of us would approach a harlot on the streets with an intention to impart the gospel that we so boldly defend? We have to admit that the fear of approach exists and we have little hope that people in this ‘profession’ can be saved, right? Rose made some bad choices in life. One of which was to get close to a gangster. Yet, among her decisions she also fell in love with a kind hearted youth named JD who would move on to become a Christian after the unfortunate death of his brother. Rose, however, choose a different path. 

Seven years later, they are reunited…coincidence? Perhaps, but highly unlikely. It doesn’t take long for them to discover that their feelings haven’t changed, but a Christian and a Prostitute…now that can’t possible sit well with JD’s congregation. He however chooses to pursue her with the hope of saving her, as he maintains his faith in the flower itself that has many thorns but beauty undeniable - The Rose. JD however has some serious obstacles in his way, like three men with guns and a bad attitude, a non-tolerable pastor, church folks who can’t seem to hold their tongue and friends who lack the courage to love unconditionally. ~~~ ARMED & DANGEROUS ~~~

Phillip's sister has gone missing. He already knows who took her, but is he armed and dangerous enough with the WORD of GOD to rescue her from the abductors...We are cautioned as Christians that before we enter into battle we should put on the whole armour of God so we may be able to stand. Phillip would be considered a rookie in army terms, but he thinks he has what it takes to win. He hardly reads his bible, seldom prays and knows nothing about the armour of God. Yet, he and his five friends step into battle seemingly unprepared. It is during their defeat they realize that it takes more than common sense to fight our unseen enemy. They are rescued by their Pastor who is a veteran in Bible Knowledge...This play delivers a very powerful message especially for young people who don't see any reason to study the Word of God. ~~~ OUTER REALMS ~~~

Jack is your average rebellious young man. Yes, he’s a Christian, but right now to him its just a title. With his father being a Bishop and his mother supporting her husband's ministry in everyway she can, Jack despises the level of expectation put on him by society and the church because of the role his father plays. In his bid to separate himself from their authority and live his own life, he chooses to date non-christian women and skip church meetings. None of his family or friends support this and that makes him feel like he has an edge…but Jack can’t see the bigger picture. He doesn’t know that his attitude and rebellion makes him an instrument in the hands of outer forces that has devised a plan to destroy the Bishop and his family. 

The play starts out slow introducing us to Jack, his sister and Jack’s girlfriend. As we move to scene two, everything starts to get complicated as Bishop challenges his son about his decisions…...then the outer forces such as depression, lust, rebellion and many more become more and more visible (giving the audience a spectacular visual experience as these characters wear different, solid coloured shirts). But the demons are limited by the presence of Jesus and Michael, who carries a flaming sword by his side...Within moments, The life of this family is catapulted into an ultimate battle as they struggle to overcome this time of trial and tragedy...and their casual Living Room becomes a battleground for the Outer Realm. ~~~ REJECTED ~~~

This play begins with John challenging his Mother about a picture someone gave to him. It had a note on the back suggesting that His mother may have been unfaithful in her marriage. John has always feared being a part of a dysfunctional family and when his fears began to materialize...he seeks ways to deal with this knowledge that may not seem appropriate as a child of God. Situations surfaced that require his forgiveness...i.e. an unfaithful mother and being deceived by his real father, who had been a friend to the family, but is now in prison on death row for a crime he says he didn't commit...but if John was to believe that, then he would have to believe that his Pastor is a murderer. John turns to his girlfriend for support, but she too carries a secret that will push John over the edge. Eventually John dies and wakes up to find himself face to face with the consequences of his choices and a Judge without mercy...but most of all, John comes face to face with the truth. Price: $25.00

~~~ VANITY ~~~

JAMES 1:14 states, ‘But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.’ This forms the foundation of this play told through the eyes of Old Man Martin. He takes us as far back as the garden of Eden as Eve convinces Adam to bite into the fruit. Jesus enters and is sadden by what Adam and Eve has done....but He knew what needed to be done to save mankind. We fast forward 2000 years as Martin and his friends are coming from the movies. They are introduced to Jesus by the Town Pastor and all but one accepts salvation. Years later, Martin, now married, and his wife has grown to ignore Jesus because of their busy schedule and it hardly seems that anything will ever change. Martin is embarrassed at a big party he throws with the hope of being promoted in his job, as his friends finds out that he is a Christian and that he Knows Jesus personally. Martin goes through an emotional lapse, blaming Jesus for his mis-fortunes, and eventually he meets someone from his past who pulls him into temptation and leads him away from Jesus for good. Vanity explores what we sometimes value the most and the important things and people that we often ignore. It is also based on Ecclesiastes 12 which addresses the whole purpose of man and outside of that ‘Vanities of Vanity.’ Price: $25.00

~~~ STRATEGIES OF THE DARK SIDE ~~~

This little play is a perfect sermon starter for anyone who wishes to speak on Spiritual Warfare. I believe it is a very strong and symbolic piece that accurately portrays what takes place in the world we cannot see...Our main character enters and sits on a chair at centre stage after a hard day at work. He has his hands on his jaw. There is one demon who tries to get him to choose to watch television and One angel who tries to convince him to Read his bible...as he contemplates his decision, he starts to doubt his relationship with God. Can the Angel and his Sister succeed in reaffirming his faith or will he succumb to the lies of the enemy?  Price: $15.00
