Eight teenagers get stranded on an island two weeks before Christmas after a cruise boat they were on for a school trip crashed and sank....but some people are missing. What happened to the captain? What happened to their teacher?

At first they are confused, but soon realize that surviving is a choice they have to make and there seems to be no way they can get off the island...and, unfortunately...whether they like it or not...they will be spending Christmas together. Yet, all these teens have in common is that they are stuck on this island together.

Money, cell phones and social status means nothing here and eventually everyone will learn the true meaning of Christmas.

This story even includes a few role playing scenes from the traditional story we all know and love of the birth of our Saviour and Lord.

LIGHTS UP
They all gather around Rob who is still lying on the floor.
CARLI: I think he’s dead.
JESS: Can you hear me Rob, Stay away from the light.
DAVID: Are you dead?
No answer.
KIM: He’s not moving, I think he is dead.
JESS: Someone should check his pulse… to see if he’s dead. Kim why don’t you do it.
KIM: Why me? Why don’t one of the guys do it.
ANDY: I aint touching no dead body. David you do it.
DAVID: Oh no. Wendy you are always the brave one. You do it.
Suddenly Rob jumps to the floor.
They are all frightened, they run all over the place.
ROB: Can’t a brother die in peace.
WENDY: You are so wicked… you could have said something.
ROB: What? I thought since I was gonna die, might as well I die in my sleep.
DAVID: Well I knew you were alive the whole time.
WENDY: Really, weren’t you the one who asked him if he was dead.
DAVID: I Was just playing along.
CARLI: Yeah right.
Pause.
KIM: Has anyone seen Jess?
WENDY: I think she ran over there… but I’m not sure.
KIM: Well, I guess Rob scared the daylights out of her… cause I think she ran right out of the cave.
DAVID: Well I hope nothing happens to her…. You know how she is.
WENDY: How is she?
DAVID: Well, not like you…. She is a lot more refined….
WENDY: Excuse me…
DAVID: Why you behaving like I’m lying… aint I right Andy…
ANDY: You’re on your own with this one… you know that I don’t mess with Wendy…from that one time in 3rd grade, I try my best to stay out of her way.
DAVID: You afraid of one stupid little girl.
WENDY: Who you calling stupid?
DAVID: You of course.. but then again you are too dumb to realize that.
Wendy jumps at David. David runs behind Rob.
KIM: Hey… whats wrong with all of you….Don’t you understand… we are on an island, in the middle of nowhere. We don’t know where we are gonna get food… we don’t know what else lives on this island, we don’t know what happened to the rest of the class… and to top it all off we can’t find Jessica.
ROB: Don’t worry they will all turn up soon.
KIM: How can you be so sure?
ROB: Faith.
WENDY: Is it just me or is it getting really cold in here…
KIM: I think we need to start a fire.
DAVID: With what?  We have no match.
KIM:  We need to get some trash or sticks or something to make a fire.
Everyone looks at Andy.
ANDY: Don’t look at me…. I aint going outside… I’m gonna have to freeze to death.
KIM: Fine… I’ll go….
DAVID: No you can’t… its not safe.
KIM: Are you gonna go…
DAVID: Well no, but Rob can.
ROB: Who me.. why don’t you go…why you calling my name.
KIM: I thought so….. I’ll be right back.
But before she could leave the stage, Jess runs on to the stage.
JESS: I think something’s following me.. we have to hide.
No sooner had she said that everyone scamper all over the stage until they all found a place to hide.
                James enters the stage.
JAMES: I got signal but the battery is dea-d… where is everybody… I coulda … I knew I just saw Jess..so where did she go… Hello….. is any body here… its me James.
WENDY: (whispering) James is that you.
ANDY: (hush) Shhhhh.
JAMES: (whispering) Who said that?
WENDY: (whispering) It’s me Wendy…
JAMES: (whispering) Oh hi Wendy… Where’s everybody…
WENDY: (whispering) We are all right here.
JAMES: (whispering)  I don’t see anyone..
WENDY: (whispering) That’s because we are hiding we thought you were someone else.
JAMES: (whispering) Who could I possibly be.. aren’t we alone on this island..
WENDY: (whispering) Right.
JAMES: (whispering) So Wendy.
WENDY: (whispering) Yeah James.
JAMES: (whispering) Why are we still whispering?
WENDY: Oh sorry….. okay everyone its only James the coast is clear.
They all begin to reappear on stage.
JAMES: Jessica, didn’t you hear me calling you?
JESS: That was you.. I thought it was something else.
JAMES: That would explain why you flew over the bushes…. I never knew you could run so fast.
JESS: Desparate times calls for desparate measures.
JAMES: I could see that.
KIM:Hey James.. could you follow me to get some sticks, we need to make a fire. Its kinda getting cold in here.
JAMES: Sure.
CARLI: Aren’t you scared.
JAMES: A little, but a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do.
WENDY: Well atleast we got one man around here.
DAVID: Who, you?
WENDY: Boy, you lucky I’m cold.
JAMES: David quit playing. We really don’t need this right now.
WENDY: Thank you James.. at least some one understands the situtation.
DAVID: Whatever!
ANDY: Oh James, before you go did you get that phone to work..
JAMES: Well by the time I could get signal the battery went dead.
JESS: Now I know I’m gonna die.
JAMES: Just relax Jess, no one’s gonna die.
JESS: You know just how to make a girl feel better,
ROB: Oh please.
JAMES: Hey Rob.. I see you are finally awake.
ROB: Unfortunately so.
JAMES: Why do you say that?
ROB: You’all are so pathetic… I don’t want to stay here with y’all.
KIM: Well unless you got somewhere better to go you’re stuck with us, … so live with it.
ROB: For now.
KIM: Come on James… Its getting cold.
Kim and James exit the stage.
CARLI: Why can’t you guys be a little more like James. Being a gentleman isn’t that bad?
DAVID: Why should I try to be someone else when I have the liberty of being myself?
WENDY: More the reason why you should change.
ANDY: I see what you girls are up to.
CARLI: Really?
ANDY: You all want us to be push overs. Your little mat that you can just walk over… but we aint having it… right fellas.
DAVID: You said it man.
CARLI: Suit yourselves.
