Why Don't you Just Give Away the Scripts?

Good question! There was a time when I could have offered my scripts for free. At that time I didn't care much about copyright and actually setting up a website. Now that I have, I've found it to be quite costly (copyright, hosting, website development and advertising).

The fee that has been set on each play is to offset these cost and also make it easier to further continue in my writing ministry. For you, the small fee gives you the freedom to make multiple copies of the scripts and also to produce the play as often as you wish.

But consider this, If you charged a modest $1 for tickets and $2 at the door and the auditorium can seat at least 200, you can collect anywhere from $200 - $400 minimum for just one night. Imagine what your church would collect if you ran it Saturday and Sunday night? What about every weekend for a month? Even if you didn't have a full house, you'd make your investment back.

Who Am I?

First and most importantly, I am saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost. I believe in the God-head (Father, Son & Holy Spirit). I believe that Jesus came to earth in the flesh, died for my sins and was resurrected on the third day and now He sits at the right hand of God.

Where writing Christian Plays is concerned, I have been doing it for almost Eleven (11) years. I've taken courses in playwriting, won awards in playwriting and strongly believe that Playwriting is my true calling. I have been the director of my Church Drama Team (now called A.C.T.) for years also.

To Which Denomination Do I Belong?

I have been a member of the Church of God of Prophecy now for over 12 years. I actually grew up in my church as I can clearly recall numerous Sundays that my sister took me and my little brother to church.

The Church of God of Prophecy believes the Bible in its entirety...fully acknowledging the purpose that Jesus fulfilled while He was here on earth when He said 'He did not come to abolish the Law, but to Fulfil it.'

What Can I Expect From Your Plays?

I take each project/play to its extreme potential, meaning, every possible theatrical element that can be used, probably is! I have been told that my plays are like movies on stage; visual, short dialogue, music and SFX. Of course, most of these elements are optional based on your budget. As a matter of fact, our Drama Group has produced many plays on a bare stage with just lighting and symbolism and its just as effective based on the feedback we receive.

The Musicals that I've written aren't the kind people are used to. Characters don't sing what they can talk! Instead, well known songs are injected into the storyline just as naturally as we would sing during our everyday activities.

Why Don't' You Have a Refund Policy?

The truth is, I do have a refund policy....but it is used sparingly. The fact is, when I refund a customers money...there is no guarantee, on my part, that the script will not be used just the same.

How Will I Know That a Play is Right For Me?

Because I believe that God has a way to take you where you need to go.

I can make you this promise...each of these plays will point people to Jesus.

Furthermore, the foundation of this ministry is built on the fact that 'Jesus is the way, the Truth and the Life.'

Is my Payment Information Safe?

When making a payment through this site, if you look in your address bar at the top of your window, you'll notice that the address of the web page begins with "https" instead of "http."  The "s" means that you are on a secure server.

Also look in the lower right hand corner of your browser for the lock that appears when you're on a secure server or when you transfer any personal information. Among other reasons, I use PayPal and 2CheckOut because your rights as the buyer are completely protected.  I never see any of your bank or credit card information.  I only receive your name, what you purchased and where to ship it.  In other words, your personal  information never leaves the secure site- not even to notify us of your purchase.  Furthermore, they operate under strict rules of e-commerce.

Can I read a Sample of the Script before I make a Purchase?

I provide of sample of the actual script free of charge...even for a three page skit...so you will have a general feel of the kind of play you're about to purchase. The excerpt follows the general format of the entire play, so there will be no surprises. In most cases you can view up to a complete scene from the play. Just click the 'Read a Complete Scene' button on the play webpage to download or open the Scene.

How Can I be Sure that I'll Receive my materials, after I've made the Purchase?

I would not be in business very long if I didn't provide quality service. PayPal and 2Checkout ensures that customers receive what they pay for. If at any time they get a report from a Customer that Item was never received, they would cancel my account. Contact Me immediately if you do not receive your package within a reasonably time. We have to consider the fact that sometimes email is often disregarded for various reasons. In that case you would just need to supply a different email address.

Don't you think you're charging too much for your Plays?

I've been told that my prices are too high but it's not true.  People feel that way because of globalization. Globalization is the process of having your product produced where the labour is cheapest so that you can sell things at a low cost and still make big profits.  For instance, Wal-Mart out sources it's labour to a place where the people get paid 17 cents an hour.  If they had the same radios made in the US, they would have to sell it for $120 each.  Instead, because of globalization, they can sell a high quality radio for $20.

Now, we all get mad when we hear about sweat shops but that doesn't stop us from shopping at Wal-Mart does it?  People love getting something for nothing- even to the point where they think they deserve it- demand it even.

The only problem is that globalization does not apply to everything.  I don't have a little group of starving Christian writers hidden away in Indonesia writing my plays for me for 17 cents an hour. In order for me to do what I do, I must earn at least enough to meet the cost of living where I live (which I am yet to do)

The reality of it is that some people will walk away because they feel that I am cheating them but others- those who appreciate what I do- are grateful that I continue to do it.

My challenge has been to get Christians to understand that I can't pay the bills with "Thank You's." I wish I could...but it just doesn't work like that. The mere fact that you're here and you like the look and feel of this website means that much has been invested to bring it to you. Absolutely nothing was done at this website independent of Prayer. Don't let the small royalty payment stop you, your church, and your community from being blessed.
