This is a
monologue unlike any other that I've ever seen or read.
It tells a
complete story with just one female character. I have used every
possible element that I could think of to make this play a fulfilling
experience for both the actress and the audience.
The Play....
It starts
with Jenny getting out of bed realizing that her prayer the night before
has gone unanswered...again. Sounds familiar? As the day progresses, she
faces many challenges as she tries to grasp her destiny. At moments that
it seems she is okay, something else happens and she experiences an
emotional roller coaster ride as she struggles to deal with all that's
happening around her and fulfil her work obligations.
The Conclusion....
In the end it is
too much for her and she comes face to face with a choice that will
prove to be
the turning point in her life.
